Pitti Uomo street style features fur

The best fur looks from the bi-annual menswear fair in Florence.

Guests at Pitti Uomo served up some major fur looks last week as the fashion industry descended upon the city of Florence, kicking off the AW19 menswear show season with some strong fur street style.

Trend watch-wise, we spotted lots of tweed overcoats with contrasting mink lapels, oversize parkas with fox trims and women in full fox jackets – particularly silver and dyed versions. For outerwear right now, the mood is definitely the more luxurious, the better. And nothing does that quite like fur.

Pitti Uomo never fails to attract the most stylish trade show crowds: in addition to the elegantly suited and immaculately tailored squad that forms the backbone of the fair (brown mink coats casually thrown over shoulders) the event has in recent seasons been injected with a dose of streetwear and an influx of cool kids in Balenciaga trainers.

As the shows now move on to Milan and Paris, we will undoubtedly see lots more exciting fur looks – our photographer will be capturing guests throughout the coming week.
