AW19: Street style videos from fashion capitals

New York AW19 sreet style: Colour

Coloured furs lit up the wintry city as the fashion roadshow got underway.

Kicking off the AW19 womenswear season, New York was a rainbow of fur outside the shows where industry names and guests of all ages bundled up in hyper-luxe statement outerwear.

Dyed fox was a major trend story, in bubblegum pinks through to neon yellows and wine reds, but natural longhaired styles were also out in force, as placements on wool coats or full looks.

Increasingly, fur is attracting a younger audience who contrast bright furs with clashing colours and prints. Another major look was tonal everything: white or dyed beige fox worn over the same hues. We also spotted several great fur hats – perfect for a week of snow showers.

Spectacular looks from the last stop on the show circuit

From the familiar sight of stylist and costume designer Catherine Baba on her bike (this season wearing an intarsia chevron multi-fur coat) to showgoers in candyfloss pink mink heels, Paris really delivered on the fur front.

We saw lots of vintage-inspired fox hats and oversize fox pieces – full coats, dyed fox on fabric and voluminous sleeves – and one very covetable Valentino intarsia logo mink coat.

Milan AW19 – eye candies for fur fans

Your front row seat to all the best looks from the Italian fashion capital.

For fur fans, Milan Fashion Week is major eye candy. Guests at the AW19 shows trotted out incredible fur pieces across the city that really stood out in the sea of showgoers outside the venues.

There were equal parts long and shorthaired styles on the street: mink wearers went with lots of beautiful techniques, from chevron and herringbone patterns to ribbed gilets and casual-cool hooded jackets, while the fox crowd wore stunning colours, intarsia motifs and coats that incorporated lavish fur applications as contrasts on metallic or floral fabrics.

Watch our video from Milan below.
