The best street style fur looks from menswear and Copenhagen fashion week

Natural colours and full-length mink and fox coats kick off the AW20 season

The AW20 fashion weeks are in full swing and we are already seeing a lot of great fur everywhere, both on the catwalks and on showgoers, who are choosing designer pieces as well as unique vintage finds to create the kind of statement looks that get noticed in the crowds.

Saga Furs were on the ground to cover all the fur-clad action from the sartorial Mecca of Pitti Uomo in Florence through to Milan, Paris and Copenhagen. Here, we’ve rounded up all the major fur looks and trends from the menswear shows and Copenhagen fashion week – and don’t forget to check back for more street style coverage as the season unfolds.

Florence, Milan and Paris: natural beauty

Natural fur is making headlines on and off the runway: show guests opted for hues of brown and pastel mink worn with brightly clashing colours and streetwear, pushing the classic fur coats into hyper-contemporary territory.

Grey tones also triumphed, with full silver fox men’s coats and vintage blue fox jackets. We also spotted i-D’s associate fashion features editor Osman Ahmed in a long pearl mink coat worn with tonal trousers and a grey cashmere sweater – languid elegance personified.

Copenhagen: Sustainable Pops of Colour

In Copenhagen, where the shows were dedicated to a strong sustainable message, showgoers chose fur to highlight the city’s eco-friendly credentials. Case in point: stylist and influencer Emili Sindlev in a megawatt dyed blue silver fox coat.

It really was a week of statement fur looks in upbeat colours and standout details, seen in ribbed coral mink, Pepto-Bismol pink coat trims, checkerboard mink and fabric fringe hybrids and an orange fox puffer, setting the tone for an optimistic, green start to 2020.
